What is Adobe FrameMaker?
Adobe® FrameMaker® 8 software is a powerful long document authoring
and publishing solution for technical users who want to author and
publish technical documentation in multiple languages.
It is mainly used to author and publish technical documentation, but is
also used for references and fictional books. Being a tool which has
built in SGML/XML capabilities it may also be used as a single source
publishing tool and as a frontend for database publishing.
Recently Adobe has put FrameMaker® into a suite along with other
software – the
Adobe® Technical Communication Suite 1.3 – a complete solution for
authoring, managing, and publishing interactive instructional
information from technical documents and books to online help systems,
knowledgebases, interactive training, and eLearning content in multiple
formats and languages. Now with new Adobe Acrobat® 9 Pro Extended.
